Happy Monday everyone! How are we all this week? I hope well! I have enjoyed a weekend at home binge watching tele – I do realise I haven’t reviewed a book here in a while… I do aim to change that…I promise. But anyway, I have been binge watching as I work (no shocks there) and noticed I missed the new season of Delicious. So I binged that over the weekend. So without further ado…here’s my review of it all so far!
Gina is the first wife of Leo, who owned a very successful hotel and was a prominent chef. He owes much of his success to her – she taught him everything there is to know about cooking. He divorced her and married another woman, Sam. Even though Gina is now in the background, Leo has gone from strength to strength. Gina has never left his life, and he dances around his relationships with them both. And then he dies. Leaving them, and their dysfunctional family, to get on with their lives and each other. To try to run the hotel without him.
I have always liked this show. I like Dawn French, Emilia Fox and Iain Glenn in their roles – It’s really nice to see them all playing a more chill role, where they can be almost themselves (no dead people, comics or swords here!) Occasionally, I don’t like the how… out there the story is, but it’s so picturesque that I can over look it. The acting is good, the story is usually good. It’s a good show.
Sure when I watched the first season, I was a bit bemused about it being around, I like how easy it is to watch. I am also shocked that it’s in Cornwall, because it looks like a beautiful vineyard in Italy most of the time. I need to get myself to Pentillie Castle asap, because it’s beautiful.
People should get watching this, because I want another season! Go! Watch!
