Hello everyone! Long time no see! How are you guys? Sorry I’ve been away for a little! I have been sick and then I went on a week away – good place to recover if I don’t say so myself. Because I’ve been away and am just getting into the swing of things again I thought I’d give you guys an insight into the ‘Top 5 Movies’ I’m looking forward to watching (and perhaps reviewing) in 2018! Below each I’ll leave a trailer for you to enjoy!
Game Night is brought to us by the same people that did Horrible Bosses. It’s about a group of friends who love to play games (yay!) and get invited to a night of games they won’t forget – a murder mystery. For one, I love the fact that they’re normalising gaming by using Rachel McAdams and Jason Bateman. As a gamer myself this makes me happy, as it’s no longer seen as the ‘nerdy’ thing to do. Two, it looks like a good mix of fun and drama! I love a good comedy, a romance and a bit of drama/action going on! It’s definitely one I will be watching!
This was an obvious one for my list. For one, the first Deadpool movie was one of the best Superhero (and X-Men) movies I have ever seen. Who wouldn’t love a movie that has a whole sex scene montage that includes ‘International Women’s Day’, with some strap-on action? It was funny and crazy, with some amazing fight scenes. I cannot wait to see the second one, with the inclusion of Cable (badass) and Domino (also a badass). I’m looking forward to more of the merc-with-the-mouth. Hopefully they keep up the jokes that Ryan Reynolds has done for the advertisements.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix
Another installment to our X-Men means I will be going to see it. Anyone that knows me knows that I love the X-Men; I have hair dyed like Rogue! I hope that they’re going to be better than previous X-Men movies, but I’m not as against them as a lot of people are. I love reading the X-Men comics, and the 90’s show is my all time favourite kids show (my ringtone is the theme song!). Though we only have a teaser out at the moment, it will be interesting to see what they do with the Dark Phoenix saga. It will be interesting to see how X-Men: New Mutants and this take on the franchise.
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again!
I’m allowed one guilty pleasure on here. I loved the first movie… no, I love the first movie. I watch it whenever I feel a bit glum or want something on in the background (thank you Netflix!) I will be going to see this with my Mum; because everyone needs something to watch with their Mum, right? I will be singing along, but trying not to dance in the aisle!
The Incredibles 2
IT’S ABOUT TIME! HOW MANY YEARS HAS IT BEEN? 14??? I have been waiting for this movie since I completed the Gameboy Advance version of the original game, when I was about 10. I have been waiting too long for this movie. I am a bit worried that the movie theatre will be filled with screaming children – I pray for an adults only screening!
I feel sorry for Bob in these trailers – Helen has gone off to save the world and he’s been left to look after Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack. As this is just after the last movie, Jack-Jack has only just got his powers. So learning to deal with them seems to be a struggle! He can’t eat cookies forever!
